Frequently Asked Questions

Here are a few frequently asked questions. Feel free to message me or leave questions for me in the chat ("Let's Chat!" floating box), message or email.

What is your experience teaching English to Korean students?

I have been teaching English to Korean students of all ages (Kindergarten to high school) for 3 years. My in-class teaching experience has given me a deeper understanding of challenges that Korean students face when learning the language. Although I have never attended schooling in Korea, I have become familiar with the education system. This knowledge along with my experience as a student growing up in English-speaking schools gives me a unique perspective on teaching languages.

What is your teaching philosophy?

I believe that every child is an individual learner, and I tailor my instruction to meet the needs of each student. I also believe in creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and making mistakes.

What are your expectations for students?

I expect students to be active participants in their learning. This means coming to class prepared, participating in discussions, and completing assignments on time. I also expect students to be respectful of their classmates and their tutor.

  • Projects

I provide students with regular feedback on their progress. Parents receive a monthly report of their progress as well as an option to chat on the phone about the feedback.
