I'm Jen
With several years of experience teaching English and a TESOL certification, I strive to provide students with quality personalized tutoring in a comfortable and enjoyable environment. My experience in curriculum and learning design allows me to create customized lessons that meet the specific needs of each individual student. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced learner, I am committed to helping you improve your language abilities and achieve your goals.
My Story
I grew up in South Africa and completed my education from kindergarten to a master's degree. I worked as a learning designer, creating online short courses with international universities.

In 2020, my husband and I moved to Korea to escape the COVID-19 pandemic. We planned to stay temporarily, but we've been here for three years now. This move gave me the chance to pursue my passion for creating educational resources, building confidence in children and English language teaching.

In 2023, I started my own tutoring business, Reading Tutor. I provide personalized English language instruction to students (grade 3-12; university; and adults). I believe that every student can succeed and reach their academic goals.

I'm also a big fan of collaboration among educators. I think sharing resources, exchanging ideas, and learning from each other is important for professional growth. I'm always happy to connect with teachers, explore new teaching methods, and contribute to the education community.
